Junior standout Ainsley Baldwin has once again proven to be a driving force for her team, leading the Mustangs volleyball squad to an impressive 13-5 record and securing the #1 ranking among AA schools in District 10 Region 3 for the second consecutive year. In a dominant performance against Jamestown, Baldwin recorded 23 kills and 17 digs, showcasing her all-around athleticism and leadership on the court. A multi-sport athlete, Baldwin’s competitive drive and versatility shine through in every sport she plays, making her a cornerstone of Mustang athletics. This season, Baldwin has shattered two single-season school records—one for kills (356), surpassing her own previous mark of 222 from last year, and another for digs (318), topping the former record of 292. With playoffs still ahead, she’s showing no signs of slowing down. Even more impressive, Baldwin has already broken two career school records as just a junior. She now holds the all-time marks for career kills (620) and career digs (648), surpassing the previous records of 512 and 552, respectively. Off the court, Baldwin continues to excel in the classroom, maintaining a stellar 4.17 GPA—a testament to her dedication and discipline both as a student and an athlete. With her combination of talent, work ethic, and leadership, Ainsley Baldwin is not only the Athlete of the Week, but also one of the premier players to watch as her team heads into postseason play.

This week’s Athlete of the Week honor goes to Kyle Suhrie, a senior standout for the Mustangs football team. A multi-sport athlete and team leader, Suhrie has been a driving force behind the Mustangs’ success this season — most recently playing a key role in their big win over Sharpsville on Friday night. Suhrie’s dominant performance earned him multiple honors, being named both the U.S. Army Player of the Game and Breakout Player of the Week by Friday Night PA. His determination and all-around impact have not gone unnoticed by fans and coaches alike. On the season, Suhrie is just shy of 250 rushing yards on 46 attempts, finding the end zone three times and adding a two-point conversion. On the defensive side of the ball, he’s been equally impressive, recording 25 tackles and an interception. What makes Suhrie’s season even more remarkable is his comeback story — after missing last season due to injury, he’s returned stronger than ever, showcasing grit, perseverance, and a relentless work ethic. “Kyle is the kind of player who gives it everything he’s got, every snap, every game,” said his coaches. “He’s earned every bit of the success he’s having.” With his leadership, versatility, and determination, Kyle Suhrie is not only making a statement this season — he’s setting an example for what it means to overcome adversity and lead by example.

Senior Kyle Suhrie was awarded the US Army Player of the Game award at the Mustangs face off with the Sharpsville Blue Devils. Kyle finished the game with 19 carries for 85 yards, 53 of which were in the second half! He provided great assistance in 2 touchdowns in the second half, ultimately boosting the Mustangs to an 18-12 win!
Congrats Kyle!

This week’s Athlete of the Week honor goes to Anna Allen, a standout senior who has been making waves both on and off the court. A true multi-sport athlete, Anna has proven her dedication and talent across athletics, but it’s her recent dominance in volleyball that has earned her the spotlight. Her season stats are impressive accumulating 181 digs on the season, however over the last five games, Anna has been the heart of her team’s defense, recording a team-high 89 digs. Her quick reflexes, relentless hustle, and court awareness have helped anchor the back row and give her team opportunities to stay competitive against tough opponents. But Anna’s impact extends far beyond her statistics. Known for her leadership, energy, and positive attitude, she inspires her teammates with her drive and determination. Coaches and classmates alike recognize her as someone who balances excellence in athletics with commitment to school and community. Her versatility doesn’t end with volleyball. Anna is a multi-sport athlete, excelling year-round in competition while managing the busy schedule of a high school senior. Adding to her list of accomplishments, she was recently voted onto the homecoming court and continues to shine in the classroom maintaining an impressive 4.6 GPA. Whether she’s making diving saves on the volleyball court, competing in other sports, or representing her school with pride, Anna Allen is a perfect example of hard work and dedication paying off. Congratulations to Anna Allen, our Athlete of the Week!
